The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is an international boarding school with a history stretching back over 120 years, located near St. Moritz in the heart of the scenic Engadin valley (Switzerland). 220 boarders from around the world and 110 local day students study at our school for the Swiss Matura, the iGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). The opportunity has arisen to appoint a colleague in the following role, starting August 2024:

Teacher of Biology

for its Department of International Studies
Workload: 60% – 80% with the possibility for a 100% role through teaching a second subject and/​or the role of boarding house parent

Responsibilities

  • Teach Biology and Science in the International Section, from Grades 7 – 12 including Cambridge IGCSE Science and IB Diploma sciences
  • working as a Homeroom teacher, may comprise part of the role
  • participation in our active extra-curricular life

Requirements

  • University degree in Science with a teaching qualification for Science
  • IBDP teaching experience (essential)
  • IGCSE teaching experience (preferred)
  • Swiss/​EU/​EFTA citizenship is an advantage
  • German language skills are an advantage
