Pupils at Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz will now participate in the “Munich Experience” training programme at FC Bayern München twice a year, lasting several days. These sessions will take place at the FC Bayern München campus or the professional team’s training ground, and will include stadium tours, friendly matches, and visits to Bundesliga games.
During the four-week ‘International Summer Camps’ in Zuoz, Bayern coaches will lead the football training sessions. Further training for coaches and local events with clubs from the region will complement the programme. The programme specifically promotes technical skills, teamwork and responsibility both on and off the pitch.
It offers new perspectives for young people
Headmaster Oliver Hartwright emphasises: ‘Becoming part of the FC Bayern München football family is something very special for our school. The partnership gives pupils the opportunity to participate in selected training sessions with the German record champions.’ This further strengthens the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz’s reputation as an international school specialising in sport, appealing to high-achieving young athletes.
As part of the partnership, an FC Bayern München legend will visit the Zuoz campus to share personal insights into life as a former professional footballer. There will also be opportunities for cooperation and information events in Munich, at which both partners will present themselves.
Jochen Sauer, Director of Youth Development and Campus at FC Bayern München, explains: ‘We are delighted about the new cooperation with Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz. Both organisations promote successful youth and elite development in their respective fields, as well as a holistic education in which traditional values and individual creativity play a significant role. Together, we will implement many exciting projects.’
Shaping the future – in the classroom and on the pitch
Through this partnership, Lyceum Alpinum will further expand its role as an educational partner for young athletes. The guiding principle of ‘mens sana in corpore sano’ is actively practised in both areas. The first joint projects will begin in Zuoz and Munich in autumn 2025.
