Service Learning in Malawi

From Thursday, 7 May to Sunday, 24 May 2020

On the road with a bus in this African country, we will be visiting schools and remote villages. At every school we will teach, read stories from various books and bring them to life through imaginative games and painting activities. In doing so we will make a worthwhile contribution to improving the literacy rates in Malawi.

 A typical day (Monday to Friday) will look as follows:

  • 07:30 - 08:30 Breakfast and departure
  • 09:00 - 12:30 Educational activities in a school
  • 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch
  • 14:00 - 17:00 Possible activities: help to building a fuel-efficient stove, help repairing bore-holes or help
    establishing a library

At the weekend, there will be excursions like going on a safari and a trip to Blue Zebra Island Lodge on the Lake Malawi.

Estimated costs will be between CHF 5,200 and CHF 6,200, all-inclusive, depending on the number of participants.

A cancellation fee will be applied.

Turtle Camp Pom Pom, Malaysia

From Wednesday, 7 May to Sunday, 17 May 2020

Turtle conservation - students are involved in:

  • Turtle hatchery
  • Baby turtle release
  • Turtle identification dives

Coral reef restoration includes:

  • Underwater coral collection
  • Underwater construction of artificial reefs

Estimated costs will be between CHF 3,900 and CHF 4,500, all-inclusive, depending on the number of participants.

A cancellation fee will be applied.

Holiday Tour Lanzarote
