Dr Christoph Wittmer, Head of School
Dr Christoph Wittmer studied German Literature and Linguistics, History and Psychology at the University of Zurich and subsequently taught German and History at the Cantonal High Schools Wiedikon and Enge in Zurich. In 2004 he was appointed as Deputy Head of School in the School Leadership Team at the Cantonal High School Enge and from 2010 to 2018 he was Head of School. Christoph Wittmer initiated and led the HSGYM (a network of institutions comprising the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH, the University of Zurich, Zurich Universities of Applied Science and high schools), and also the VSGYM (a network comprising secondary schools and high schools in the Canton of Zurich). In 2016/2017 he chaired the Zurich Conference of Heads of School. As President of the Museumsgesellschaft (museum society) and the Literaturhaus Strauhof, Christoph Wittmer has close ties with the cultural life of the city of Zurich.

Dr Christian Grütter, Deputy Head of School
Dr Christian Grütter studied physics at the ETH Zurich. During his doctorate he taught physics at the Kantonsschule Wettingen, then at the cantonal schools Küsnacht and Hohe Promenade. In 1999, he was appointed to the Kantonsschule Limmattal in Urdorf and was given a teaching assignment in physics subject didactics at the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. In 2006, he joined the school management of the Kantonsschule Küsnacht as Vice Rector. From 2013 to 2019, he was headmaster of the school, and from 2015 to 2019, he was a member of the board of directors of the head teacher conference in the canton of Zurich. Christian Grütter is a member of the executive board of the Küsnacht cooperative, 'Solécole', which aims to achieve sustainability in energy supply. He is also a member of the concept group of further education courses of Forum VERA.

Marie-Louise Brown, Head of International Studies
Marie-Louise Brown studied Philosophy at University College London having been inspired by Theory of Knowledge lessons as an International Baccalaureate Diploma student herself. After graduating she spent time in both industry and working for charity organisations before training as a teacher. As a Head of Department, Marie-Louise Brown led a large team of teachers to become a lead school for Citizenship education, taking a place on the Expert Subject Advisory Group for the Department of Education in the UK.
As part of secondment to Leadership Team at the Anglo European School in Ingatestone, Essex, Marie-Louise Brown led on policies linked to the social, moral, cultural and spiritual provision for students. In her last role Marie-Louise Brown was IB Curriculum Manager for both the Diploma and Careers programmes, working closely with IB networks both nationally and globally. As well as teaching experience of GCSE, A Levels and IB in Philosophy, Theory of Knowledge, Citizenship, Religious Studies, PSHE and History, Marie-Louise Brown's passion in teaching is focused on providing political literacy and human rights education for young people.

Roman Grossrieder, Head of Finance and Services
After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration Roman Grossrieder worked for various companies in the education and tourism industry and from 2005 to 2007 and 2009 to 2014 as a project manager for Grischconsulta AG in Chur. In 2011 he completed his MBA in General Management at the HTW Chur and since 2000, has repeatedly taken on teaching roles at a variety of schools and institutes.
