Medical Centre
All aspects of student health care are the responsibility of the school’s on-campus Medical Centre with its own therapy room, gender-segregated wards and a small common room.
Medical Centre services are available to all boarding students, and they can always rely on receiving treatment or advice in friendly surroundings. Should a student be taken ill and not be able attend classes, they spend the day in the Medical Centre under professional and caring supervision.
In the Medical Centre students will always find someone ready to listen to all the small and bigger worries which arise from life at school, from living in the boarding house community, from growing up and from their own personal development.
In cases of more serious illness or injury, the qualified medical staff at the centre can also call on the advice of the two school physicians, Dr. med. Clà and Esther Rauch. They have their own practice in the village of Zuoz, which ensures a round-the-clock rapid response in emergencies. Two local hospitals have surgical facilities for accident-related operations.
Together with the school’s physicians, the Medical Centre staff can be consulted on all matters related to vaccination or other preventative measures. The Centre is also actively involved in the activities and campaigns of the school’s addiction prevention and health education group.
