Learning Support Centre

The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz has a Learning Support Centre which primarily supports students with special learning needs. Students with conditions such as dyslexia, dyscalculia or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHS) can benefit from individual remedial measures, study coaching and therapies provided by the school’s own or external experts. The Centre also cares for students who have emotional learning difficulties and problems arising from preparing for and taking examinations.
A further function of the Learning Support Centre is to support students with special talents which need to be both developed and challenged.

Private tuition in addition to regular class lessons are available for those who need to catch up on subject matters. These courses are taught by qualified teachers. Coaching in study skills and examination preparation are offered by external specialists.

English as a Second Language (ESL support)

Students are assessed for their knowledge of English when they enter the school and based on the results they are placed in a class appropriate to their level. However, if experience shows that they need additional tuition, the ESL Coordinator will arrange for them to receive support to improve their writing, speaking and reading skills.
