Music, Choir & Band
The Lyceum Alpinum offers private instrumental and singing lessons on its premises; these lessons are taught by the school’s music teacher, Mr Guido Bissig, and by other music teachers from the music academy of the Upper Engadine ("Musikschule Oberengadin").
Students who wish to enrol for private lessons in addition to the regular timetabled lessons contact the school secretariat. The enrolment form is then passed on to the music academy of the Upper Engadine or to the music teacher Mr Guido Bissig.
Choir A of the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz:
Joining the school choir A of the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz gives students with a love for singing a unique opportunity to do something outside school routine and create friendships. The requirements for taking part in choir A are good basic vocal training and the regular attendance of weekly rehearsals. At the moment, the choir has about 120 members from 30 nations and is directed by our music teacher Guido Bissig. The choir performs on a regular basis at school events such as the Advent Market, Recitation Evening and Graduation Day, but there has been a growing amount of opportunities for exciting performances at events outside school, such as providing the musical accompaniment for wedding ceremonies.
