Deadlines for University Applications 2010/11
1 September 2010: Earliest application in the UK and US
27 September 2010: UKCAT (entrance exam for medicine in the UK) registration
30 September 2010: BMAT (entrance exam for medicine in the UK) registration
8 October 2010: Latest UKCAT exam
15 October 2010: Universities of Oxford and Cambridge
November 2010: Early action and early decision at US colleges and universities (individual deadlines)
3 November 2010: BMAT
1 January 2011: Most US colleges and universities (regular)
15 January 2011: UK colleges and universities
30 April 2011: Swiss universities
July 2011: German universities
Standardised tests at the Lyceum Alpinum
The Lyceum Alpinum is now a test centre for three standardised tests:
Students who are interested in studying in the United States are strongly advised to take the ACT and/or the SAT at the school. There are special tutorial groups in English and Maths to help students prepare for these tests.
The IELTS is an English test which is now recognised by higher education institutions all over the world.

Free advice:
- Decide which US or Canadian colleges you might be interested in and find out specifically what their standardized testing requirements are.
- Create a timeline for yourself of test dates, registration deadlines and application deadlines. Do this as early as possible!
- Register for tests early! There is no point in waiting until the day before registration closes when you could register today!

IELTS dates 2010
Currently we are offering the test on November 27, 2010.
However it is possible to take the test on further dates at other IELTS centres. Please find an overview here:
