Summer Camp

Age group: 10 - 16 years
Our Summer Camp here is a holiday camp that combines language learning or digital skills lessons and various sports, outdoor and drama activities.

Summer, sun, mountains and lots of activity – the definition of an exciting summer. In the beautiful alpine valley of the Engadine, participants learn German, English or French. They experience lots of summer activities in breathtaking nature, have lots of fun and form friendships with people from all over the world.

Language and Digital Skills courses

In the mornings, classes are held in German, English or French. Those who are interested in digital skills instead of language can take a workshop in programming, digital storytelling or robotics.

Sports and outdoor activities

In summer, the Engadine valley is the perfect setting for numerous sports and outdoor activities. Tennis, golf, team sports (such as volleyball or football), hiking or yoga – all this and much more is on offer here in Zuoz at the Lyceum Alpinum, where the clean, fresh air also does its part to clear your head.

Theatre activities

Without question, we have a very special summer programme. Gian Franco Tordi, our man in Hollywood, will introduce our participants to the world of film and delve into the following topics: performing in front of the camera, practising public speaking, gaining first experiences with green screen, directing, camera angles, scriptwriting and show business.

What made you decide to participate in the Summer Camp?
Since my parents couldn’t spend the holidays with me this summer due to work-related reasons, I was looking for an alternative. I wanted to spend a lot of time in nature, do sports and meet new people. Through the Summer Camp, I discovered my passion for tennis and made many friends!

Junior Day Camp

Age group: 6 – 9 years
Junior Day Camp is a special holiday camp for children between 6 and 9 years of age. Without overnight stays - but with a pick-up service.

In the Junior Day Camp, the boys and girls attend an educational English or German course from Monday to Friday in the morning and enjoy an action-packed sports and games programme in the afternoon. The children are picked up in the morning by the school bus from their hotel or holiday home and brought back home to the family in the early evening.

The programme

Language courses (level A0, A1, A2 and B1) take place in the morning from 08:30 – 11:45 a.m. In the afternoons from 12:45 – 16:00, we organize a range of activities such as sports, excursions and arts and crafts. Lunch is served at the school. We cook with regional, fresh ingredients and offer a healthy and delicious assortment for all taste buds – including vegetarian. The Junior Day Camp is a day camp only – no overnight stays are included. The supervision time is from 08:30 – 16:00. A pick-up service ensures that your child is safely brought to and from the camp. There are four camps of five days each from Monday to Friday.

How did your kids like Junior Day Camp?
Actually, we were only registered for one week at the camp, but the girls had so much fun that we just decided to stay even longer. The bus service is very convenient, and because the day at the Lyceum Alpinum ends at 4 p.m., the girls still had enough time and energy for other activities in the late afternoon such as horseback riding. Both girls enjoyed the camp very much.
